ATHAMES Throughout time, athames have been a symbol of the masculine divinity, just as the chalice represents the female. Ritually, they are not used as weapons and are never meant to harm anything. These athames will make beautiful additions to your altar. BOLINES Throughout time, the boline (also spelled bolline or boleen) has been an important tool on the altar. It is a knife that, unlike the athame, is used to cut ritual herbs and carve with. Any tasks which involve cutting or etching would be served through the boline.
